Son killed after dad murdered

A MAN accused of killing his father with a bush knife in their house at Morata, Port Moresby, has himself been killed.
The suspect was killed in retaliation the same night on Saturday, National Capital District (NCD) homicide police officer in-charge Chief Sergeant Ulagis Mantu said.
Mantu said the father was asleep and woke up to open the door to his son.
The son is alleged to have then gone into the room and killed his father.
“It is believed the son, who died later, was a drug-addict,” Mantu said.
The father, 48, and his son, 25, were both from Yasombi village in Okapa, Eastern Highlands.
They were living with relatives at Morata.
Police are investigating.
