Pato praises EU for inputs

 FOREIGN Affairs and Immigration Minister Rimbink Pato has commended the European Union for its renewed and innovative contributions towards climate change mitigation and adaptation challenges.

He thanked the EU for setting up practical targets for emission reduction and assisting ACP member states achieve their national programmes by providing financial and technical support under the European Development Fund.

Pato chaired the ACP ministerial committee on development finance in Brussels on Monday.

He commended the EU for strengthening the ACP-EU relations under the Cotonou Agreement.
