No support for self-taught writer

Letters

I WONDER whether an educational material is of importance or the bill for overseas trips and travelling allowances for members of Parliament and chief executive officers of State agencies.
As a struggling self-taught writer, I have approached the office of several MPs including the office of Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited (KPHL), Mineral Resources Development Corporation (MRDC), Office of the Prime Minister, National Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and others.
I wanted to ask these offices to assist me pay a printing company to a book that I have written on short stories for schools published.
Not one of the office l requested sponsorship for my book had pity on me.
Maybe if an expatriate was occupying such an office, he or she would have considered sponsorship of an educational material such as a literacy book of paramount importance.
Seems like our countrymen and women occupying those positions do not value the importance of little people’s work.
