Micah named party leader

 STATE Enterprises and Public Investments Minister Ben Micah is the new leader of People’s Progress Party.

He took over the role from New Ireland Governor and party founder Sir Julius Chan.

“What I’m announcing today is already one month old. But that is a sign that the People’s Progress Party is a party you can rely on, keep confidential and be serious in whatever we do,” Sir Julius said. 

“The party unanimously endorsed Ben Micah to be the new leader of the PPP and Titus Philemon will remain as the deputy leader.”

Sir Julius made the announcement to his people last Wednesday.
