IT enables graduates to check status

UNIVERSITY of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) graduates can directly check their graduation status this year, says secretary to the executive officer Hipak Pokupen.
“Unlike previous graduations, we now have information technology (IT) people at all the schools to fast track transcript issues for graduates,” he said.
UPNG’s 68th graduation will be held at the Sir John Guise Indoor Complex from April 24 to 28.
Philosophy student Faithon Joe claims the graduation process was stressful and anxious to many final-year students waiting for their confirmation.
“I am relieved to be told that I will be graduating next month,” he said.
“It is great news.”
