High cost of living affecting all sectors

EDUCATION Minister Jimmy Uguro says the rise in cost of goods and services is affecting everyone including the education sector.
“We can’t do much due to Ukraine war and climate change has affected cost of living regardless of which organisation we represent,” he said.
“In the education sector schools could be affected for purchase of additional school materials or infrastructure development as suppliers could
raise their value of goods and services.
“I urged all school administration and board of governors to use the funds well.
“We thank the government for the timely release of project fees subsidy and I urged our schools to use that money wisely for nominated infrastructure based on school learning improvements plans.
“All government funds must be used properly and acquitted.
“Schools administration and boards must not use government funds as ATM but use it for school purposes only.”
