Agriculture project afoot
THE Papua New Guinea Agriculture Commercialisation and Diversification project under its cocoa component will continue to sign partnership agreements with successful lead agriculture partners, project manager Roland Kerina says. He made this known recently after the project management team witnessed the second signing of agreement between lead partners from New Ireland. These include St Barbara Simberi Gold Partner Company Limited joint partner with Tabar Group of Islands Cocoa Cooperative and Producer Organisations, Simberi Mining Area in Simberi Island, Tatau Landowner Association and Big Tabar Landowner Association.

Students give to villagers
THE people of Hamara village in Northern received five bags of clothes and two bags of school stationeries from students of Lae’s University of Technology on June 9. The items included exercise books, reading books, writing pads, sharpeners, pencils, highlighters, markers, glues and A4 papers as well as the five large bags of clothing. The donation was an in initiative of the Mining Engineering Students Association, the Civil Engineering Students Association and the Oro Students and Staff Association from the University of Technology supported by The Voice Inc.
