AIR Niugini had relocated its office in Buka, Autonomous Region of Bougainville to cater for the increase in customer demand.
The new air-conditioned office in Chinatown has a standby generator.
Air Niugni general manager Customers and Markets Dominic Kaumu said customer service was important to the airline company.
“Our customers do not have to walk far to be served as the new office is conveniently located at the intersection to the main Buka town area,” he said.
“Blackout is now a thing of the past with a standby generator and other facilities like air-conditioning to ensure a comfortable office setting that can be enjoyed by customers and staff.”
Kaumu said Air Niugini had been supporting the Autonomous Region of Bougainville for a long time and would continue to do so into the future.
ABG deputy Speaker Francesca Semoso urged the people of Buka to look after the new facility.
“Air Niugini has been serving this region for the very long time and with the new office, I urge everyone to take good care of this facility, respect the staff and the airline service being provided here,” Semoso said.
Air Niugini operates daily flights to Buka airport except on Sunday.
It operates flights to Aropa airport in Kieta on Monday and Friday.
